Critical Pharmaceutical Calculations for Non-Sterile Compounding

The intention of this program is to review critical calculations needed in pharmaceutical compounding to ensure accurate dispensing, safeguarding optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Learning Objectives:
1. Calculate the quantity of active pharmaceutical ingredients needed in a non-sterile compound using aliquots
2. Describe salt form corrections needed for a non-sterile compound
3. Develop an aggregate assay correction based on the active pharmaceutical ingredient’s certificate of analysis

This lesson is a knowledge-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians.
