What's New for the Treatment of Pediatric Epilepsy

Dr. Donaldson will conduct a 1 hour knowledge-based continuing education webinar program on treatment of pediatric epilepsy. She will present a review of utilization of the newer antiepileptic agent and their potential for treatment of pediatric epilepsies. Dr Donaldson will also review any updates with the treatment of pediatric status epilepticus. Finally, she will highlight updates from the American Epilepsy Society meeting with regards to pediatric epilepsy treatments.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify appropriate pediatric/adolescent indications for the newer antiepileptics including monitoring parameters.
  2. Select appropriate dosing for alternative medications for treatment of pediatric status epilepticus.
  3. Identify new research and clinical information presented at the 2016 American Epilepsy Society meeting pertinent to current practice for treatment of pediatric epilepsy.

ACPE logo PPAG has accredited this program for 1.0 contact hours (0.10 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacists. UAN #0180-0000-17-002-L04-P.

The Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. In order to receive credit, participants must register for the program, attend the program, and fill out a post-program survey. Webinar programs are 100% supported through program registration fees and PPAG membership dues, and is not supported by Industry.
