Oh Sugar! Managing Diabetes Mellitus in Small Animal Patients
Published by American College of Veterinary Pharmacists and Missouri Pharmacy Association

This program is made possible by an unrestricted educational grant-in-aid from Temptime Corporation

Specific insulins, monitoring techniques, devices, and management apps will be described allowing the veterinary pharmacist to expand professional services and inventory to accommodate diabetic animal patients.

1. Discuss signs and symptoms of diabetes mellitus in small animals.
2. Describe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities for diabetes mellitus in small animals.
3. Review monitoring techniques and devices used for diabetic small animal patients.
4. Identify the role of the veterinary pharmacist in providing care and products for diabetic animal patients.
